A PEV Collaborative Announcement
January 12, 2015
The California Plug-In Electric Vehicle Collaborative today applauded the auto industry and consumers as 2014 finished with record numbers of plug-in electric vehicle sales.
In 2014 more than 47,000 plug-in vehicles (PEVs) were sold in California – a 30 percent increase over 2013 sales – with cumulative statewide sales exceeding 118,000 since 2010. California PEV sales represent more than 40 percent of the national market.
The market for plug-in electric vehicles is growing every month. Being able to charge at work can be an important consideration for those in the market for a plug-in electric vehicle. Workplace charging is catching on as employers see its value.
Residents may be interested in purchasing PEVs and property managers may want to install charging stations to attract and retain tenants and foster a green, environmentally sustainable community. But MuDs face unique considerations.
